Turn Your Powerpoint Presentation into a Video

Powerpoint Video Conversion

PowerPoint might be the universal tool to deliver meeting notes and important company communication, but if an important attendee missed your pitch, asking them to thumb through the deck afterwards is often just short of pointless.  There’s so much context missing that they might as well be trying to describe an elephant while feeling it blindfolded.

There’s a better way: Record your deck as a video, complete with narration, and share that so people can see it the way you intended.

The good news is that you can do this pretty easily in PowerPoint 2010. To get started, you’ll want to use PowerPoint’s Rehearsal Mode to teach PowerPoint how long to stay on each slide and to apply a narration track to the presentation. Read how to do this in Nail Your Next PowerPoint Presentation with the Rehearsal Mode.

After you’re done, just click the File tab and choose Save & Send. Click Create a Video. On the right side of the screen, make sure that you choose Use Recorded Timings and Narrations, and then click Create Video.

After a few minutes, you’ll have a Powerpoint video that you can stick on a shared drive so anyone can watch your presentation the way you intended it to be seen and heard, or upload it to your website and use that for attracting new clients.
